FAQ About Our Merch

1. Why the turtle? Like almost everything in Hawaiʻi, our logo has a deeper significance and multiple meanings. We leverage every element of the honu (turtle) in all of our shirt designs. The honu is from our Kumu Paddy Wailani Kauhaneʻs family and hula lineage. The cloud pillars along the body's left side represent support & strength. The sun rising from the mountains signifies beginnings, growth & opportunities. The ocean is the Pacific, which connects BC with Hawaiʻi. The honu coming from the sea represents multiple Pacific cultures. The water drops along the bodyʻs right side represent our Kumuʻs Hawaiian name, Wailani.
2. What brand are the shirts? Jerico - Canadian made socially conscious apparel. We believe it is all of our kuleana to know where and how our clothes are made. It is all of our kuleana to ensure we are doing best by our people and our by ʻāina. Jerico provides transparent and ethical domestic manufacturing with a commitment to natural sustainability and we are here for it.
3. Why do I have to wait so long to receive my products? In order to consciously purchase, all of our custom merch is made to order. We also print locally, and to do so effectively we will be placing your orders in batches. Once a batch is "closed" we will order your shirts from Jerico and then have them printed locally (in Maple Ridge). This process also ensure we do not over produce. 
4. What is a batch? A group of preorders purchased during a specific window of time that will be printed and delivered on a specified date. Batches will remain open for a period of 2 weeks and then close, at this time the order will be placed with our suppliers. New batches will not open for preorder until the previous batch has been fulfilled.  
5. How long do I have to wait to receive my products? Depending on the size of the batch you should anticipate 2-4 weeks for fulfillment. Approximate fulfillment date will be shared at the time of purchase. 
6. How do I receive my products? At this time we only have the capacity to offer local pick-up. Merch will be brought into one of our studios, at a specified date, for pick-up during open hours. 
7. How do I know if my shirt will fit? Sizing charts can be found through the link in each product listing. Sample shirts will also be brought into studio to allow you to try on and find your fit! 
8. Can I return my shirt? Unfortunately, because our merchandise is made to order we cannot offer returns, exchanges or refunds at this time.
